Edinburgh Business School is the Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University. The School launched its flexible MBA programme in 1990. The MBA courses were developed by leading faculty with international teaching, consultancy and research experience from major business schools in North America and Europe, including Stanford University, London Business School and INSEAD. The courses are updated regularly to ensure academic excellence und business relevance. Edinburgh Business School has been established for over 10 years and has generated over 10,000 graduates across 150 countries. The EBS MBA programme is one of the largest in the world with over 8,000 active students worldwide. Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Heriot-Watt University was established in 1821 as a school for engineers. Its founders, George Heriot (financier to King James VI) and James Watt (the pioneer of steam power), intended the school to educate people for the rapidly changing technologies of the day.
