Leman University Geneva (LUG) is a private university founded in Geneva, Switzerland. LUG is the only private University in Switzerland which offers degrees in Law. Besides degrees in Law, LUG offers degrees in International Relations. Leman University is ideally located in Genevas famous bank district in the heart of Geneva. It is also at walking distance from Genevas cultural district, with its comprehensive libraries, museums and universities. Geneva, situated at the beautiful shores of Leman Lake, is an ideal location for studying Law and International Relations as it is considered to be one of the oldest worldwide centre for diplomacy and the most important international co-operation centre with New York because of the presence of numerous international organizations, including the headquarters of many of the agencies of the United Nations and the Red Cross. In addition, Geneva is the third European financial centre after London and Zurich, and the world's eighth most important financial centre by the Global Financial Centers Index, ahead of Frankfurt and Sydney. A 2009 survey by Mercer found Geneva to have the third-highest quality of life of any city in the world. The city is referred to as the world's most compact metropolis and the "Peace Capital".
