Glion Institute of Higher Education is an international hospitality management university in Switzerland. Opened in the fall of 1962 in the former Bellevue Hotel, Glion Hotel School (as it was then named) was the first private, university-level Swiss hotel management school. More than a simple hotel school, Glion offers degree programs that combine industry knowledge with managerial skills and personal development. Glion Institute of Higher Education was ranked “among the top three hospitality management schools in the world for an international degree” according to a ranking survey conducted by Taylor Nelson Sofres Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) Travel & Tourism (UK) in September of 2007. This ranking survey was commissioned by Laureate Hospitality Education to benchmark the various international hospitality management schools providing university level programs Every year, Glion provides post-secondary education for approximately 1,500 students from 90 countries around the world. The success of our graduates can be attributed to Glion’s time-tested merger between university academics with the Swiss hotel school model, close ties with the hospitality industry and an international university environment.  For over 40 years, thousands of graduates have gone through the "Glion Experience" and carried on the famous "Glion Spirit" to represent our institution as leaders in the hospitality industry.
