The IST is a federally acknowledged higher education institution offering diversified courses in tourism studies. Discover the wide world of tourism from travel agencies to airlines, tourism organizations and the hotel and event businesses.The lessons are as varied and exciting as the course itself. During the first two semesters the student becomes familiar with the necessary basic knowledge, which can be put into practice in the traineeship lasting one year. In the last two semesters the knowledge obtained is deepened and completed. The exchange with experts coming from the front of the tourism business is a great benefit for the students. The course starts in January and August.International Summer AcademyThe IST as a qualified school is in the position to provide a certified education to help improve professional competence in the tourism industry. This programme is offered in different modules from basic to additional. The certificates are provided by the school. All classes take place in English. Intensive preparation for the international IATA/UFTAA Diploma with an external official examination. INFO The education and training programme, which has been designed according to current insights in adult education, is organized in a module-like way.By networking with the tourism industry and other educational institutions, the IST opens interesting career prospects for its graduates.

More than 130 lecturers impart comprehensive knowledge in both theory and practice in several courses of studies and training courses for professions requiring qualified employees. Approximately 300 students attend the IST every year and discover the wide world of tourism from travel agencies to airlines, tourism organisations and the hotel and event businesses.A consistent and active quality management guarantees a high level of teaching and studies. The education and training programme, which has been designed according to current insights in adult education, is organised in a module-like way. By networking with the tourism industry and other educational institutions, the IST opens interesting career prospects for its graduates.
