Description
The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts at KDU College is one of the premier hospitality schools in Malaysia. It offers a variety of diploma, degree and other courses. The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA) at KDU University College signed an MOU with IMI in 1997 which enabled the College to offer the IMI programmes in Malaysia. In so doing KDU became the first private college to offer students, at both the Petaling Jaya and Penang campuses, the opportunity to obtain prestigious Swiss qualifications without having to go abroad.
When we signed an MOU with IMI University Centre in 1997, KDU College became the first educational institution that could offer prestigious Swiss qualifications to its students, without the need to go abroad. Students can now obtain Swiss diplomas, degrees, and masters locally, although many do opt to go abroad and spend some semesters in Switzerland, the country that is widely regarded as the "birthplace of hospitality", at IMI University Centre, Luzern. KDU is wholly owned by the Paramount Corporation Berhad, a property development company which has diversified into education through KDU University College (Damansara Jaya campus & Section 13 campus), KDU College Penang, KDU Management Development Centre and Sekolah Sri KDU, a private school.
- Students come from over 30 countries around the world including China, Iran, Korea, Japan, Oman, Arab Emirates, Nigeria and Kenya
