Do I have to pay for the mandatory health care in Switzerland?

No. If you come from an EU or EFTA country, your health insurance is recognized in Switzerland. If you come from a non EU or EFTA country, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students will insure you and pay for the health insurance monthly premium.
